Our story

Nice to meet you! We are Gem and Andy, the owners and operators of South West Dance Floors. Plus, of course our cute doggie and 'on the ground' assistant Freea. We had an absolutely amazing first year jumping right in head first for the 2023/24 season and are thrilled to lay down the party vibes for so many more wonderful celebrations to come. Gem has been in the wedding and event industry for 20 years as well as running a wedding and event planning business, Gem Events Management for the past 12. With a wealth of industry knowledge, contacts and excitement Gem is here to communicate with you and your venue to make sure you have everything you need, want and love. Andy has been in the trade industry for over 30 years so is super handy on the tools, creating new dance floors, DJ booths, the most recent ceremony platforms and who knows what so we have classy, polished and unique equipment for you. Putting together each piece of your dance floor onsite and ensuring it is to the top standard you are sure to have the perfect space to let loose. Both locals to the Margaret River area we can see this industry growing bigger and bigger. When the opportunity arose to purchase the excisting dance floors from a very well known and respected company and good friends, Cape Events, we jumped at the idea and are super excited to bring it our own flair and energy with South West Dance Floors. We love to party and we love to dance so we know how important our role is to a celebration! Now get up there and DANCE!
